Farewell from Production Manager Kim Green

After 11 years, 3 months and 90 productions, it is time for me to take my final bow as the Production Manager at The Loft.

As many of you will know I am not one who enjoys the bright lights of the stage, but I couldn’t disappear without saying, a few thank yous.

I can’t even begin to imagine how many people I have had the pleasure to work with over these past 11 years, far too many to mention, but I want to just say Thank You for all the hard work and time you have put into every production you have been involved with, without you all the Loft wouldn’t be what it is today.

But there are a few teams I want to say a special Thank You to, these are the people that most of our audiences don’t get to see. The teams that I have been able to work closely with and ones I am proud to say I am part of.

Thanks to all the tech team who work their socks off to make everyone seen and heard and who bring to life the sets we build by lighting them beautifully.

Thanks to the Stage Managers who run the shows, keep everything and everyone on track, and also hold down the fort meaning that I could occasionally have a day off!!

Finally I want to say the biggest Thank You to all who have been on my team, those who have helped me build and paint some of the most amazing sets. Thank you for giving up your day times to turn a pile of wood into a fabulous space for everyone to perform in. For making me tea at 11am, for listening to me rant and for picking me up when I’m down – literally once when I fell off the stage!!!

I have truly made friends for life at the Loft and I may be moving on to find my next work adventure but you haven’t got rid of me just yet. Keep an eye out on the programme handouts; when you’re at the theatre my name may pop up again, just in a slightly different seat!!
