Loft Reopening with the Wind in the Willows July 2021 – Booking Now Open

Following the Government statement on 14th June, we are delighted to announce that we are moving ahead with our production of The Wind in the Willows by Alan Bennett, which will open as a fully socially distanced production from 14th July – 24th July.

Our overriding desire is to keep our company and our audience safe at all times.

The Loft has been certified officially as a Covid secure venue by the Society of London Theatres/UK Theatres and the safety guidelines we follow are on our website.

The Minister of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has confirmed that non-professional companies are permitted to perform commercial activities, in line with professional theatres. We have decided, however, to go further than we are legally required to, and will present a socially distanced production on stage, back stage and front of house.

Tickets will go on sale soon offering a reduced capacity for every performance, even if restrictions are lifted before the last night. You can buy your tickets, your programmes and your interval drinks in advance.

We cannot wait to welcome you back to the Loft Theatre and thank our company and our supporters for your tangible help and kindness during the last year of closure.

The Wind in the Willows is the perfect reopening production, full of mischievous wit and sparkling dialogue. The set is ready, the costumes are ready, the cast and crew are ready; we have gypsy caravans, boats and barges and Toad’s car has passed its MOT. Do come and join us for some much needed laughter in this family oriented show.
